Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Searches
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Howard County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy controls its receipt and handling of the query.
Emails and Other Messages
When a visitor sends an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.

- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when supplied
- Date and time stamps

Privacy Beyond This Site
Links may lead to Howard County release resources, the Sheriff's Office, Missouri corrections pages, federal locators, court portals, or third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy governs its collection and use of data.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to recognize activity across different websites and select interest-based ads. That activity occurs on their systems, not on systems controlled by Howard County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be received by:
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver ads
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard practices intended to protect information under our control. No website, network, or internet transmission is completely secure. This notice therefore makes no promise that a breach or unauthorized access can never occur.
